Overview

Lip Augmentation Procedure

Temporary lip fillers can easily correct the effects of aging on the mouth by the injection of a sterile solution. Similarly the corners of the mouth can be lifted by these injections.

After applying local anaesthetic cream and an injection to alleviate any discomfort, the gel is injected as desired. The results will be immediately apparent. The changes can be demonstrated during treatment with a hand held mirror. Injections take a very short time approximately 20 minutes.

You may experience some mild swelling and temporary numbness. This soon subsides and you can resume your normal activities immediately. Temporary fillers will require follow up injections every 6 to 10 months.
Permanent lip augmentation

Some patients prefer a permanent solution. A variety of synthetic devices can be placed into the lip, usually under local anaesthetic. Mr Cadier currently uses the Permalip® implant.

Designed to give you a naturally attractive, full pout without surgery, Lip Fillers add volume to thinning lips, enhance shallow contours, help reverse a downward smile, and smooth out vertical lines on your lips (smoker’s lines).
